2019 GMC TERRAIN
AVAILABLE AT CENTURY BUICK GMC
The 2019 GMC Terrain is a crisply designed, athletic-looking, five passenger SUV that enjoys exceeding expectations. This is year two of the second-generation Terrain and the changes are minimal for 2019…which is a good thing, because the whole package works so well. It is hard not to like this craftily-designed marvel.
CVT – Front Wheel Drive
The first thing you notice about the GMC Terrain is the hexagonal grille. To be exact, the grille’s shape is that of a convex hexagon, which means there is no angle used that is over 180 degrees. The “C” shape of the headlights works well with the grille which is why the front end looks so fresh and awake. The grille of the Denali trim gets more bright-work but keeps the same contextual look. To a prospective owner, this speaks to the Terrain‘s resale value in a positive way.
Naturally, there are options and packages unique to the different trims and packages as well. All of which means you can have some fun selecting the 2019 Terrain that is right for you. We can help you with that!
As a family vehicle, the Terrain is perfect. At just under 190 inches in length, the Terrain is the champ of parking garages and parking lots. Which is to say,it is easy to handle. As a business vehicle, the 2019 Terrain is a joy to take to work, job-sites or to the country club. The design is impeccable.
Plug in your compatible device to send and receive hands-free messages and phone calls, and interact with select apps all through your Terrain‘s touch-screen.
Inside the new Terrain there are some very nice surprises. For one thing, there is no console-mounted shifter. The Terrain has a push-button, nine-speed transmission, and the controls are located at the bottom of the center stack. Other than the obvious, is there a big difference? Well, a gear shift and linkage are mechanical and the push-buttons on the Terrain are electrical.
“Mechanical linkages, compared with electrical wiring, require larger openings somewhere in the vehicle floor or body structure, which can act as a noise path directly into the cabin,”said Rick Spina, executive chief engineer for the 2018 Terrain.
Quiet is good in the cabin of your family or business mode of travel. The design change means that the console now has more space for your priorities; more usable space and a quiet ride.
The 2019 Terrain has four trim levels: SL, SLE, SLT, and Denali. The standard engine is a 1.5L Turbocharged 4-cylinder. The Denali comes with a 2.0L Turbocharged 4-cylinder. There is also a 1.6L Turbocharged Diesel that is available on the SLE and SLT trims only. Both gas engines get the nine-speed transmission while the diesel gets a six-speed automatic.
